Hints for an effective interview

• Research the company
• Arrive 10 minutes before interview
• Remember - your interview starts the moment you enter the room
• Dress neatly
• Smile and be positive
• Shake hands and greet the interviewers
• Candidate should do between 70% - 80% of the talking
• Have questions of your own prepared for the end of the interview
• Speak clearly and confidently
• Answer questions fully – no evasion
• Never interrupt questions
• Admit if you don’t understand the question you’ve been asked
• Leave the interview on a positive note – smile and say thank you!
